Srinagar 02 November (KNB): Director General of Police J&K Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Home Sec. A K Bhalla, LG Manoj Sinha, RR Bhatnagar, SC Arun Kumar Mehta and other officials for sanctioning a Special Security Allowance (SSA) in favour of Special Operation Group (SOG) and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of J&K Police.
As per a series of tweets from J&K Police on Monday late evening, DGP Dilbag Singh thanked HM Amit Shah along with other senior officials for sanctioning to SOG and BDS of J&K police a Special Security Allowances.
The DGP said that the decision of providing special allowance will go a long way in boosting the morale of police personnel.
As per J&K Police tweet, Singh said that by this order, the long pending demand of the J&K Police has been met. He further stated that Union Home Ministry and Governor’s Administration has been very kind in considering favourably different proposals for welfare & better working conditions of J&K Police.
The DGP said that it has come like a Diwali gift for police force who have been performing extremely high risk jobs, the tweet reads, adding, “DGP while extending his thanks to the government, impressed upon the police personnel to work with more dedication to ensure maintenance of peace & order in the UT.” (KNB)
