Srinagar 10 March (KNB): Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday greeted the Kashmiri Pandits on the day of Maha Shivratri, which in Kashmir is known as Herath.
On this day, Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati’s marriage is celebrated, and devotees make their presence at the temples for prayers. While Kashmiri pandits cook fishes and meat on this occasion, rainfall is also observed throughout the day.
However, on Tuesday, the former Chief Minister Mebooba Mufti tweeted that “Herath Mubarak & may all your prayers be answered. Kashmir misses your presence & is incomplete without you.”
Further, Omar Abdullah also tweeted that “Herath mubarak to Kashmiri Pandits everywhere. Have a blessed day.” (KNB)
