Occasional Rainfall in J&K’s Parts Today, No Forecast of Downpour: MeT

Srinagar 29 July (KNB): The Meteorological department on Thursday morning said that there would be no major rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir today but cited the possibility of an occasional light rainfall at some places.          

The weatherman in its latest morning update said that the possibility of an intermittent rainfall in some places of J&K and the weather would be partly cloudy towards the afternoon as it has been generally cloudy since morning. 

It was further said that there is no forecast of heavy rain in J&K today. However, the MeT officials had already predicted three days of erratic weather to prevail in J&K till tomorrow, which is coming true as the occasional rains are falling in different parts of the UT.  

The weatherman also said that during last night no major rain occurred in the both UTs of  J&K and Ladakh. 

“No major rain occurred during the night in the whole of J&K and Ladakh. Right now weather is generally cloudy at most places,” said MeT in its weather update.

However, regarding today’s forecast, the MeT said “Generally cloudy becoming partly cloudy towards afternoon. Occasional light rain is possible at some places. No forecast of any heavy rain for today.” (KNB)
