Jammu 04 Sept: A Photography & Videography short term course was conducted at Udhampur military garrison from 23 August 2021 to 04 September 2021 in which selected soldiers from all formations of Northern Command participated.
In a statement issued to news wire Kashmir News Bureau that, this course was the first of its kind in which Northern Command collaborated with Central University of Jammu and the technical guidance for the course was provided by the Department of Mass Communication and New Media of the University.
The course was conceptualized by Headquarters Northern Command keeping in mind the need for the real image of J&K which has been obscured due to 30 years of violence, to be clearly visible again. Accordingly the course aimed at imparting Photography & Videography skills to our soldiers so that the beauty, the symbols of glory of J&K, the humility of its people, art & culture and the development reaches not only the rest of India but the World.
The valedictory function of the Photography & Videography short term course was held at Dhruva Auditorium at Udhampur on 04 Sep 2021. Prof Ashok Aima, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Jammu graced the occasion and awarded certificates to participants who successfully completed the course. Brig Brijesh Pandey from Headquarters Northern Command, Dr JN Balia, HoD of Mass Communication and New Media Department and Dr Bachha Babu from the Central University of Jammu were other dignitaries present.(KNB)
