Srinagar 06 July (KNB): Jammu-Srinagar National Highway is going to remain shut for traffic movement on Wednesday (7-7-21) in view of the repairing of the road, said Traffic official on Tuesday.
As per the official update, the traffic movement is going to remain shut on NHW from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa between Nashree and Jawahar Tunnel on 7-7-2021 i.e., Wednesday.
The decision to close the NHW has been necessitated in view of the maintenance and repairing of the road, as per the official.
“On 09-07-2021 Friday , there shall be no traffic movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road from either side in view of maintenance/repairing on Zoji la axis,” the official said.
Regarding the Mughal road, the official said that subject to fair weather and better road condition only load carriers including fresh perishable, fruits, vegetables and empty truck/ tankers shall be allowed from Herpora (Shopian) at 0900 hrs upto 1400 hours towards Poonch.
“No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut of timings. Moreover, no passenger vehicle or pedestrian shall be allowed on Mughal Road,” as per the official. (KNB)
