Srinagar, April,13: Mukhtar Memorial Society an Academic Research & Community Development NGO has procured Oxygen Concentrators under it’s Medical Assistance Scheme. These shall be available free of cost for low income patients.
We we’re receiving atleast six to seven calls from our people looking for these concentrators on rent and that’s when we released that many in our valley suffering from respiratory problems, exclaimed Faizan Hasan Khan who runs the NGO.
Faizan said it was then we decided that we shall also procure the oxygen concentrators so as to provide bit relief to the patients who need them.
The idea is to make the machines available for those who can’t afford to buy them.
When asked what is his view about growing respiratory problems in our valley, Faizan said that excessive use of tear gas and pepper gas has left many with acute respiratory problems and made them dependent on continuous oxygen supply.
