New Delhi, October 1(KNB) – In a recent development, AIP Supremo and Member of Parliament from North Kashmir, Er Rashid, has been granted an extension of his interim bail until October 12, 2024. This extension allows him to stay out of Tihar Jail beyond the initially scheduled date of October 3 [1).
The extension was granted by Delhi’s Patiala House Court, where Er Rashid’s party had applied for more time. AIP Chief Spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, confirmed the development and expressed gratitude to the judiciary and their lawyer, Vikhyat Oberoi [1).
This extension provides Er Rashid with additional time to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly his constituency in Baramulla, while his legal proceedings continue.
Er Rashid was previously granted interim bail on September 11, 2024, to campaign for the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly election. (KNB)
