Sopore, October 21(KNB): Member of Parliament Er Rashid visited Higher Secondary School Qalamabad today, where he interacted with students and staff. He sanctioned ₹12 lakh from MPLAD funds for the extension of an overhead bridge that connects the two campuses of the school. This infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance student safety and convenience.
In a statement issued to News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that Er Rashid also sanctioned ₹10 lakh for the installation of an ultrasound machine (USG) at Taratpora, Handwara for improving diagnostic services for the residents of the area.
Later in Sopore, Er Rashid chaired a comprehensive review meeting, attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, senior officers, and heads of departments. Er Rashid discussed village-wise issues related to drinking water facilities, road connectivity, healthcare and irrigation, stressing the urgent need for attention to these basic services.
