Baramulla 19 July (KNB): Militants on Thursday attacked on police party in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. ‘
According to reports reached to KNB that “Two Bike-borne men opened indiscriminate firing on Police party near Bypass crossing in Sopore town in Baramulla district.
“After the attack militants flee from the site, however no policemen were injured,” they said.
While taking to Media, RN Sekhu, commanding officer of CRPF 179 battalion said “Attack was carried on the police party deployed in the town in view of National Conference (NC) Patron, Dr Farooq Abdullah’s visit.
“We have started a combing operation in the area to nab the attackers,” Sekhu added.
