Met predicted dryspell till new year, unabated cold wave continued in valley.

Srinagar, December 25(KNB):The cold wave sweeping the Kashmir valley continued unabated on Tuesday, with Met denying any possibility of rain or snow till New Year.

There was no relief from the severe cold as minimum temprature remained below the freezing point with minus 5.5 in Srinagar, minus 7.7 in Pahalgam and minus 7.6 in Gulmarg.

Leh recorded minus 10 and Kargil minus 14.2, while Jammu recorded 4.1, Katra 5, Batote minus 2, Bannihal minus 3.3 and Bhaderwah was at minus 2.2 degrees Celsius.

Drass in Kargil was the coldest place in Jammu and Kashmir at minus 19.5 degrees Celsius.(KNB)
