Srinagar 15 June (KNB): Meteorological department on Tuesday said that the current weather would most likely prevail for some few days in Kashmir.
After an inclement weather observed in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir, which MeT has predicted already, it said that a brief spell of light to moderate thunderstorm with rain would occur at scattered places of Kashmir.
In its advisory, MeT had mentioned about Srinagar to receive rain with other districts of North Kashmir and South Kashmir as well.
However, it also predicted the current weather to continue for some few days, regarding which they said “Same weather most likely to continue for next few days.”
It further said that there is also no prediction of major rainfall. “We expect slight relief from scorching heat waves in both Jammu and Kashmir region,” MeT added.
Regarding Ladakh, the weather forecaster said that there would be partly to generally cloudy weather today with not any prediction of significant weather in coming days.
MeT officials further advised to avoid the chemical spraying of the orchards till next two to three days. (KNB)
