Srinagar March 26 (KNB): Rivalry for upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled between April 11 and May 6 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir is on peak, the old and known political stalwarts like Farooq Abdullah , Mehbooba Mufti , Er. Rashid besides the new faces of the politics like former EJAC president Qayoom Wani, Justice Hasnain Masoodi are in fray and their fate is going to be decided by the voters in parliamentary elections. Almost all regional and the national political parties have nominated their candi dates for the elections and are filing the documents to the concerned Deputy Commissioners.
The upcoming elections are going to be most competitive as the new faces have come fore to give the old and traditional politicians a tough time and are remarkable using the lapses of the previous and ex – leaders to a great extent and the various controversies are coming to the fore, the parties are targeting the candidates of one another.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) spokesperson Altaf Thakur lashed the national conference (NC) Akbar lone and seeks for the disqualification NC leader for the elections against the raising of pro Pakistan slogans during a public gathering during an election campaign in the Baramulla.
The political pandits are terming the upcoming elections as the most competitive elections in the history of the state of Jammu and Kashmir as the elections are going to be held first time fully after the collapse of the BJP-PDP coalition government last year and the people of the state are expected to throw away the right wing politicians from the valley.
The decision of the people’s Democratic Party of not contesting the elections in the Jammu regions are being termed as the acceptance of defeat by the party in Jammu region by the opposition political parties.
Besides the new political faces are expected to bring a new freshness in the political landscape of the state and challenge the existing political leaders and the people of the state seem obsessed with the question what the new leaders will do next and is unfolding of the decisions and the events in the political scenario of state.
Meanwhile, the NC and congress has announced the pre poll alliances and national conference got the Srinagar seat and congress contests in Jammu and Udhampur, both parties will engage in friendly contest in the Anantnag and Baramulla and creating the theme of between three parties NC, PDP and BJP in Srinagar constituency and PDP, BJP and Congress in Jammu and Udhampor.
The election commission of India has announced the a five-phase parliamentary polls for the Jammu and Kashmir an d has a challenge to hold the elections peacefully in south Kashmir and other conflict ridden areas and elections in six constituencies of the state are scheduled between April 11 to and May 6 across 11,313 polling stations in 22 districts.
