Srinagar 08 November (KNB): Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha on Monday handed over an appointment letter to the wife of slain government teacher Deepak Chand, who was killed in a militant attack in Srinagar outskirts last month.
Deepak Chand was among the two persons killed by militants in Government Boys Higher Secondary School Sangam in Eidgah, Srinagar. He was a Hindu from the winter capital of J&K.
Chand was killed along with a female Sikh Principal of the higher secondary school last month after militants had barged into the institution’s premises.
Almost a month later since the attack, LG Sinha has handed over an appointment letter to Deepak Chand’s wife Aradhna Mehra and has assured all assistance to the family.
“Today handed over (an) appointment letter to Aradhna Mehra, wife of Deepak Chand, who was killed by militants in Srinagar. Assured all help and assistance to the family,” said LG in a tweet. (KNB)
