Srinagar 24 June(KNB): An inmate from Sopore lost his life due to injuries sustained during a gas cylinder explosion at Kupwara sub-jail.
The incident occurred on June 19, resulting in injuries to at least nine inmates. Among them, Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah, son of Sujah Ahmad and a resident of Dangerpora Sopore, succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.
The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion, which was reportedly triggered by a cooking gas cylinder, official said. (KNB)
