KU to host International Conference on Recent Advances in Business,Management & Data Analytics

Srinagar 10 March(KNB): Two Day international conference on “Recent Advances in Business, Management & Data Analytics” organised by Department of Management Studies, University of Kashmir to begin from Wednesday, 15th March, 2023 10.30 am at Gandhi Bhawan, University of Kashmir.
According to the organisers, the conference is an endeavour to bring together all the stakeholders including the academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, managers, policy makers, scientists, students, civil society, change makers and any interested individual to one platform for sharing their experiences, ideas, view points and collective intelligence.
‘The event shall provide an opportunity to identify and deliberate upon the emerging socio economic issues and business game changers headway towards inclusive growth, self reliance, sustainable development and equitable society’ said Patron of the Conference Prof. Iqbal Hakim, Head, Department of Management Studies, University of Kashmir.
He added, ‘Post pandemic business is undergoing unprecedented changes not only due to stress caused by the global health emergency but more by fast paced innovations and advancements in breakthrough technologies, data processing technologies, ICT, socio economic and environmental concerns never witnessed before. In this changing business scenario the traditional wisdom needs to be blended with the emerging knowledge to cater to the novel challenges to create a better, safer and healthier world.
‘Accordingly, there is also a dire need to radically change the philosophy and pedagogy used by business schools in order to stay relevant and keep guiding the business leaders and budding managers ’, he further added.
According to the organisers, the event would witness the presence of some of the most prominent personalities in Management Studies and participation from the scholar community and faculty members from various renowned universities and institutes at national and international level, which would surely be a proclamation for further research and development in the domain, addressing need of the hour.

Vice Chancellor, KU Prof. Nilofer Khan would be the Chief Guest at the inaugural function of the international conference, Prof. Javaid Akhter, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University would be the Key Note Speaker, Dr. Poonam Sinha, Director, National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, GOI would also grace the occasion as Guest of Honour. The inaugural would be followed by several technical sessions on both the days during which about 200 research papers would be presented by more than 300 research scholars and academicians across the country and abroad.
Notably, the event has come at a time when many initiatives both at national and international level like SDG 2030 goals, startup India, digital India have been initiated to build a new business order.(KNB)
