Srinagar, May 15 (KNB): The people of Kashmir on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of 58 people with over 2,770 injured during anti-occupation rallies along the Gaza Strip’s eastern border. Pertinently, thousands of Palestinians have gathered on the Gaza Strip’s eastern border since Monday morning to take part in protests aimed at commemorating the Nakba anniversary and to protest the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
The Kashmir’s chief cleric and pro-freedom leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Palestine in Gaza and stated that people of Kashmir stand with the people of Palestine at this hour of grief and sorrow. Mirwaiz said it was unfortunate that the world bodies who claim to be the champions of human rights have put a deaf ear to Israel’s fresh war crimes and that Muslim organizations of the world too have remained silent over the brutal massacre of people of Palestine.
Mirwaiz said Palestine and Kashmir conflict share many similarities as both are being occupied through military might, but what is unfortunate is the silence of United Nations over the conflict resolution of both the issues. He said the hegemony of India and Israel gives them the immunity to do as they will and their armed forces have got the license to kill and massacre every day.
Syed Ali Geelani, leader of hardliner faction of Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference expressing his grave concern over the genocide said after the conclusion of World War II, the inception of United Nations Organizations was seen as a good omen by the poor and weaker nations of the globe that justice, equality and respect of human rights shall prevail, whereas the fascism and imperialism shall be dealt with by all peace loving nations of the world.
“Islamic countries (OIC) should take stock of the situation and use its good offices on diplomatic front to deter the policy of genocide of the weaker nations of the world at the hands of imperialistic powers, including Palestine and Kashmir in the light of agreed principles of Islam, as for as respect towards human life irrespective of religion, caste, creed or color is concerned,” Geelani added.
Blood bath in Palestine amounts to genocide of a people supported by international community. Israel by Killing innocent Palestinians and USA by supporting this carnage is actually promoting a human tragedy. This was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the butchery by Zionist Israel in Palestine in which more than 100 innocents lost their lives while as more than three thousands have been injured so far.
Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman Islamic Political Party Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and JKLF Chairman (H) Javaid Ahmad Mir in a statement to KNB while expressing grief and concern over the massacre of innocent Palestinians said the war waged on people of Palestine by Israel on behest of America is highly condemnable and inhuman.
The leaders said that people of Kashmir can understand the pain and agony of Palestinians well as they themselves are reeling under occupation from several decades under which they are being slaughtered day in and day out aimed to suppress their voices. (KNB)
