Srinagar, Jan 23 (KNB): All Jammu and Kashmir Students Union (AJKSU) terming the Kashmir University evaluation and examination process flawed has said that, “it is students who are at receiving end; they are often forced to hit the streets”. Kashmir University has become an autocratic institution that enjoys immunity and is answerable to no one. The result of UG 1st semester (CBCS) is not the first such result where most of the students failed, AJKSU protested last year when about 80% of students from GDC Bemina failed in English and after rechecking they passed with huge percentage.
In a statement to KNB, Aasif Wani President of AJKSU said “bundle of Kashmir University answer sheets were recovered from 2 person travelling in car, by police last year ” this was the limit of absurdity and proves the negligence of KU officials. He further said within less time the papers if failing students should be revaluated, so that their time is not wasted.
Younus Rashid Spokesperson of AJKSU further added that, “Students who are pursuing graduation are strangled, their course has expanded to four years due to delay in conducting semester exams on time, so Kashmir University should deal with them with at most care and try to hold exams and declare results on time”.
