Kashmir to Witness Widespread Rain and Thunderstorms

Srinagar, July 29(KNB):– The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has issued a weather alert predicting generally cloudy conditions with a spell of rain and thundershowers over many parts of the Kashmir Division during the next three hours.

The affected areas include popular tourist destinations such as Gulmarg and Tangmarg, as well as parts of Baramulla, Doodh Pathri, Khan Sahb, and adjoining areas of Badgam. South Kashmir is also expected to witness widespread precipitation, with areas such as Pulwama, Shopian, Qazigund, Anantnag, and their adjoining regions likely to be impacted.

Additionally, a few parts of Srinagar and Ganderbal districts may also experience rain and thundershowers during this period. The Met Centre has warned that a few places may receive intense showers for brief periods, prompting residents and tourists to take necessary precautions.

The weather alert is in effect for the next three hours, and the public is advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and warnings.(KNB)
