Kashmir observes shutdown on “Human Rights Day”

Srinagar,December 10(KNB):The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for compelete shutdown today against grave human rights abuses in the valley.

As per reports shutdown is being observed all over the valley, shops,educational institutions and other commercial establishments are closed in Srinagar and other district headquarters of the valley.

Public transport is off the roads while a very less movement of private vehicles was witnessed in uptown areas of Srinagar city.

While as, JRL has appealed people to observe December 10 (International Human Rights Day) as a black day.

Meanwhile,the leadership appealed to the international human rights agencies to take note of “grave” human rights violations taking place in Kashmir and pressurise India to stop the violations.(KNB)
