Srinagar, April 23(KNB): The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had called for compelete shutdown today against the alleged ill-treatment meted out to JKLF chief Yasin Malik in custody.
As per reports shutdown is being observed all over the valley, shops,educational institutions and other commercial establishments are closed in Srinagar and other district headquarters of the valley.
Public transport is off the roads while a very less movement of private vehicles was witnessed in uptown areas of Srinagar city.
Meanwhile, JRL while rejecting any electoral process as ‘a substitute to right to self-determination’ have appealed people to observe a complete election boycott.(KNB)
