K K Sharma Resigns as Lt Governor Advisor; Appointed as State Election Commissioner: Rohit Kansal

Srinagar 30 October (KNB): Kewal Kumar Sharma (KK Sharma) has resigned from the post of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and has been appointed as the State Election Comissioner, Rohit Kansal revealed in a Tweet.

Principal Secretary department of Power and information J&K, Rohit Kansal tweeted, “Sh. K K Sharma resigns as Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of J&K; appointed State Election Comissioner @diprjk”

In November 2018, K K Sharma was appointed as an advisor to the then Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik. Following the creation of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, he was the advisor to Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and then continued his service to the (current) Lieutenant Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha, who was appointed on 7th August 2020 by the President of India.
