JK Govt Terminates Four More Employees Over Narcotics Involvement

Srinagar 26 March(KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir government has terminated four more government employees due to their alleged involvement in the narcotics trade.

The employees who lost their jobs include Abdul Rashid Bhat: Gang Coolie at Irrigation & Flood Control Division Sumbal, Dilbag Singh: Lineman at Jal Shakti (PHE) Sub-Division, Hiranagar, Gulzar Ahmed: Assistant Motorman at Hydraulic Division Ramban, Noor Mohammad Sheikh: Gang Coolie at Ferozpora Basin, Irrigation division, Tangmarg

These employees were dismissed in connection with Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) cases in their respective areas.

This move comes after the government terminated Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Jamadar at Irrigation Division Shopian, in connection with a case filed under FIR No. 21/2023 u/s 8/15 NDPS.(KNB)
