Srinagar 23 June (KNB): In a bid to cross the international border with a huge quantity of drugs, a smuggler was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday in Kathua’s Hiranagar sector.
As per an official, the intruder was trying to breach the border line to enter this side, who was fired upon by the forces after not paying heed to the warnings.
The intruder, as per the official, was in possession of 27 kgs of heroin.
However, officials have said that the incident came after an underground tunnel was found by BSF early in this year, which they are linking as an attempt for furthering disruptions in the valley by foreign militants. (KNB)
