INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES FREE MEDICAL CAMP AT RONGKONG

Rongkong 21 August(KNB): Indian Army organized a free medical camp at Rongkong on 20 & 21 Aug 24. Hosted by Panchshul Gunners with assistance of Borderless Nations NGO, the event witnessed participation of over 250 diverse patients benefitting from specialized medical care. The camp offered a spectrum of medical services spanning pediatric, gynecologist, orthopedic, dental, skin and physician from the NGO.

The provision of free medicines and comprehensive facilities underscored Indian Army’s dedication to holistic healthcare accessibility. Altogether, 500 patients for various age group and suffering from ailments registered their names and availed free medical assistance.

The local populace lauded the Indian Army’s proactive initiatives & efforts for underprivileged in the remote areas of KUMAON sector. The resounding success of medical camp reinforces Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to public welfare in remote areas. In the past too Indian Army has been conducting such medical camps as well as major infrastructure projects like electrification, street lighting, development of a rock climbing node etc in remote locations of KUMAON sector like Baling, Gunji, Dharchula, Jamku and Dharchula.(KNB)
