Srinagar 25 December (KNB): India has reported 7,189 new cases of Covid19, with 387 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,23,263 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 7,286 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 77,032, which constitutes 0.22 percent of the total cases, lowest since March 2020,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 0.65 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 82 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.60 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 41 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 141.01 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 67.10 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 415 omicron cases with 115 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 108 and 79 in Delhi. (KNB)
