Srinagar 30 July (KNB): India reported 44,230 novel coronavirus cases and 555 deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
With 555 new fatalities, the total death toll across the country has jumped to 423217.
The Health Ministry said that 42,360 patients have recovered during last 24 hours and there have been 3,07,43,972 total recoveries across the country so far, where as the recovery rate currently stands at 97.38 per cent.
As per the data, India’s active caseload currently stands at 4,05,155 and the active cases constitute 1.28 per cent of total cases.
The MoHFW said that the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent, and currently stands at 2.43 per cent. However, the daily positivity rate stands at 2.44 per cent and remains below 5 per cent for the 53 consecutive days now.
Moreover, the Health Ministry informed that India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 45.60 Cr yesterday. Cumulatively, 45,60,33,754 vaccine doses have been administered through 54,50,378 sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am today. 51,83,180 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
The testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and a total of 46.46 crore tests have been conducted so far, they added. (KNB)
