Srinagar 20 September (KNB): India reported 30,256 new novel coronavirus cases and 295 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, India’s active caseload stands at 3,18,181, which is the lowest in 183 days and active cases account for less than 1 per cent of total cases, which currently stands at 0.95 per cent and is lowest since March 2020.
Officials said that the recovery rate currently stands at 97.72 per cent. There have been 43,938 recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has increased the total recoveries across the nation to 3,27,15,105.
MoHFW said that the daily positivity rate currently stands at 2.57 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 21 days and the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.07 per cent, which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 87 days.
As per the Health Ministry, a total of 11,77,607 Covid tests have been conducted. “India has so far conducted over 55.36 Cr (55,36,21,766) cumulative tests,” they said.
Moreover, with the administration of 37,78,296 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, MoHFW informed that the vaccination coverage has surpassed the landmark figure of 80 Crore (80,85,68,144,) which has been achieved through 79,78,302 sessions. (KNB)
