Srinagar 28 March(KNB) – In a fiery exchange on social media, General Secretary JKPC Imran Raza Ansari, took to X to express his displeasure with comments made by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during a recent rally in Budgam.
During the rally, Abdullah reportedly stated that certain political groups, colloquially referred to as “A team” and “B team,” might secure certificates of election but would not receive certificates of entry to paradise (Jannat). Ansari, felt compelled to respond.
“May I tell Omar Abdullah that only the Almighty Allah will decide who goes to Jannat,” Ansari post on X. “That is the essence of our faith, of our religion. Please do not make fun of religion. omar Abdullah will not decide who will go to Jannat and who won’t.
Ansari further cautioned Abdullah about invoking historical slogans. “The era of astagfirullah—‘la-ila-ha il lalah sheikh Mohammed Abdullah’—is over,” he asserted. “Similarly, the myth that Sheikh Abdullah’s name was written on chinar leaves is no longer tenable.”
In a direct address to Abdullah, Ansari highlighted the magnanimity of their political rivals. “You are lucky to have such rivals who don’t question your religiosity,” he wrote. “But let’s be clear: audacity has its limits. If you ask me, your actions have already crossed the boundaries that would qualify for a person’s exit from Islam.”
“Stop behaving like a feudal. The era of entitlement, even after the Maharaja, is over. And please refrain from invoking religion—you neither possess the knowledge nor practice it, Ansari posted on X. (KNB)
