If situation continues to remain grim there will be no place left in Kashmir where people won’t offer their lives: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar, April 04 (KNB): Senior National Conference and Member Parliament Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that there will be no place left in Kashmir where people won’t offer their lives if situation continues to remain grim.“Situation is very grim and if it continues like this there will be no place left in Kashmir where people won’t offer their lives,” Abdullah told reporters at SKICC in Srinagar. “Young people of Kashmir are seeing their future dark.

Kashmiris have to be here always. We have an autonomy which was granted to us and autonomy must be restored to the people so that their honour is restored. And just playing tricks with it will not help,” the Member of Parliament from Srinagar said.

Pertinently, he stated that if we need to come out of this storm we have to talk to Pakistan. “It is very necessary we must talk to Pakistan to of this storm,” he said, adding that anger among Kashmiri youth is brewing because of the tragedies the “nation is facing itself.”

On the reports of a New Delhi-based newspaper regarding attacks on tourists in Kashmir, he said though Kashmiris are fighting for their rights, tourists must visit Kashmir and enjoy its beauty. (KNB)
