As a coach at Muscle Blast Unisex Gym in Burzhama, Majid is not only transforming physical health but also addressing critical societal issues among Kashmiri youth, including substance abuse.

​Majid’s journey is marked by a blend of intellectual pursuit and athletic dedication. Holding a PG BEd and currently preparing for a PhD, she leverages her strong academic foundation to inform her approach to fitness. She has accumulated nearly eight years of experience working with prominent local facilities, including Titans, The Game Changer, and Muscle Factory, firmly establishing her as a leading expert in the valley’s rapidly growing fitness industry.

​Breaking Barriers in a Conservative Society

​Majid’s career was driven by a clear, early ambition to empower others. “Since the beginning of my career, I knew I wanted to be a fitness trainer,” she told The Voice of Kashmir media group. “I wanted to empower people to take control of their health and wellness, and I’ve never looked back since.”

​As a female trainer, Majid has faced and overcome numerous challenges associated with societal expectations in a conservative environment. She consciously broke stereotypes to pursue her passion, emphasizing that her work is about more than just physical strength.

​”I’ve always believed that women can excel in any field they choose,” she emphasized. “Fitness is not just about physical strength; it’s about mental toughness and determination.”

​Majid’s advocacy extends beyond the gym floor. In an era where substance abuse has become an alarming concern among Kashmiri youth, her message links physical activity directly to positive mental and social outcomes.

​She urges young individuals to redirect their energy away from harmful habits and towards disciplined gym routines. “In today’s world, where the youth are easily swayed by negative influences, it’s essential to channel their energy into something positive,” Majid stated. “Gym workouts can be a game-changer, helping individuals build confidence, discipline, and a strong work ethic.”
