Srinagar, June 08 (KNB): Senior Hurriyat leader Engineer Hilal Ahmad War on Friday represented the Hurriyat Conference at Pakistan High Commissioner’s Iftar Party at Pakistan Embassy New Delhi.
“Hilal War was nominated by Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to lead one member delegation of APHC to attend Iftaar party hosted by Pakistan High Commissioner Mr. Sohail Mahmood at Pakistan Embassy, New Delhi,” a Hurriyat spokesman said here.
Showkat Ahmad Bakshi and Muhammad Yasin Bhat represented the JKLF. There was no official representation from Hurriyat (G).
Interestingly, this year the Iftar party at Pakistan Embassy is at a time when Home Minister of India Mr. Rajnath Singh is on 2 days visit to Kashmir valley where he offered talks with all stake holders.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalists Association (JKYJA) led by Ajaz Ahmad War also attended the Iftar party called by Pak High Commissioner. (KNB)
