Hilal Parry appointed as Vigilance commissioner, a welcome step

Srinagar, March 03(KNB): In a warm welcoming gesture, Jammu and Kashmir Government under Governor Satya Pal Malik on Saturday appointed Hilal Ahmad Parray Commissioner Secretary General Administration Department (GAD)  as the Vigilance Commissioner in the State Vigilance Commission.

“In exercise of the powers vested in me under section 4(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir state vigilance commission act, 2011 (Act No. 1 of 2011), I Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Jammu and Kashmir hereby appoint Mr Hilal Ahmad Parray, IAS as the vigilance commissioner in the state vigilance commission. The appointment of Mr Hilal Ahmad Parray, IAS shall take effect from the date he assumes charge of the post in the state vigilance commission,” reads
an order GAD (Vig)12-Adm/2017 dated 02-03-2019 issued by Malik.




Parray has held key positions as Commissioner secretary youth sports and services, Director Social Welfare and the director urban local bodies as well and has contributed a lot for the betterment and upliftment of the state.

One of the junior who has worked under Hilal Parry while talking with Kashmir News bureau said, “Parray has played key role in developing the the society, it is a very good decision of Governor of appointing him as vigilance commissionar moreover a much-needed transformation is slowly but steadily rolling in and its happening due to dynamic and dedicated officers who are bringing in fresher ideas, unwilling to be stifled by red-tapism and who look forward to changing the stae for the better.”(KNB)
