Kathua, Sept 28(KNB): A head constable lost his life and an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was injured in an intense encounter with militants in Billwar area of Kathua district.
According to officials, the firefight erupted during a cordon-and-search operation, claiming the life of the head constable. The injured ASI was evacuated to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment.
The operation is still underway, when the last reports came in.(KNB)
