Pulwama, November 16 (KNB): A policeman at a guard post in Pulwama suffered a bullet injury after his gun went off accidentally.
Officials said that the policeman Muhammad Yousuf, son of Ghulam Hassan Dar resident of Sugan Shopian, posted at a guard post at Hawl in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, sustained a bullet injury in his leg after his service rifle went off.
Immediately after the incident, he was taken to a Pulwama hospital wherefrom he was referred to Bone and Joint Hospital (Srinagar) for treatment, officials said.
ASP Pulwama, Tanveer Ahmad confirmed that he was being treated at the hospital and his condition is stable. (KNB)
