Srinagar 26 August (KNB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday ordered for the reconstitution of J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) which would have Lieutenant Governor as its Chairman.
The order copy lying with KNB reads that “in supersession of all previous orders on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded to the reconstitution of the J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes, with the following composition.”
It further said that the Lieutenant Governor would be its Chairman and Advisor Incharge, Social Welfare Department.as Vice-chairman.
However, besides that the J&K Advisory Board for Welfare and Development of OBCs would have several other members which includes Administrative Secretary, Finance Department; Administrative Secretary, Revenue Department; Administrative Secretary, General Administration Department; Administrative Secretary, Social Welfare Department; Administrative Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring Department; Administrative Secretary, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs; Director, Social Welfare Kashmir, Director, Social Welfare, Jammu.
However, Secretary, J&K Advisory Board for the Welfare and Development of Other Backward Classes would be as its member secretary, as per the order.
It also said that the non-official members would be nominated by the Chairman. (KNB)
