Govt announce payment to employees deployed in ULB elections

Srinagar 20 Dec (KNB): General administration department of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the notice for the payment of the one month additional salary in lieu of the election duty under the order number 1789 GAD 2018 for the employees who were deployed for the conductance of the recent panchayat and the municipal elections in the state of the jammu and Kashmir.




According to order, “The Drawing and distribution officers (DDO) will draw the additional salary after the obtaining the clearance certificate from deputy commissioner , district election officer , chief electoral officer Divisional commissioner that the employees were deployed under a proper authorised order and have performed their duty.”

Pertinently, local elections of 2018 were held in the state of the Jammu and Kashmir in four phases on 8,10,13,16 October .voting were held from 7am to 4pm . the total number of the wards were 1145 out of which 244 wards were uncontested. Out of the total around 17 lakhs electors ,the final turnout was 35.1% that is 5.7 lakh voter.

Meanwhile ,the major political parties national conference (jknc)and people democratic party boycotted the election citing the ,,atmosphere of fear’’due to the assault on special status of state. (KNB)
