Governor welcomes role of Kashmiris for making Amarnath Yatra successful

Srinagar, Jul 11(KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik welcomed the role of local Kashmiris in making the Amarnath Yatra successful and said that undoubtedly security forces work day and night but it is conducted smoothly with the support of locals.

Malik said, “ Security forces are making wonderful contributions by working day and night but it is the local Kashmiri who actually makes Yatra successful smoothly. “

He further added, “For many years, Amarnath Yatra is being conducted by the people of Kashmir, while the yatra takes place with their support, If all of us work together, it will be successful and I hope it remains the same till the last day of the Yatra.”

Pertinently, Hajj pilgrimage has coincided with Amarnath Yatra this year and on this Governor Malik said, “The two yatras are going simultaneously, Hajis are leaving for Mecca and Yatris are coming to Amarnath Cave, For these Yatras we have to make necessary arrangements to make both the Yatras smooth and hassle free. In this regard the traffic regulation orders were passed which don’t put a blanket ban on public movement.” (KNB)
