Secretariat is rife with rumours about a possible re-shuffle
Jammu, Dec 28 (KNB): Governor N.N. Vohra administered Oath of Office and Secrecy at the ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan here today morning to Legislators Javaid Mustafa Mir and Tassaduq Hussain Mufti who have been inducted into the Cabinet as Ministers for the State.
Besides Legislators, political leaders and prominent citizens of the State, the Oath ceremony was attended by Usha Vohra, First Lady; Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly; Haji Anayat Ali, Chairman Legislative Council; Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, Deputy Chief Minister; Ministers, Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of various Boards and Commissions; Chief Secretary; DGP; and senior Civil and Police officers.
Pertinently, Javaid Mustafa represents the Chadoora assembly segment in Budgam district, and Tassaduq was last week nominated as MLC by Governor NN Vohra on recommendations of the state government.
In anticipation of Tasaduq Mufti’s oath of office, his uncle Farooq Andrabi put in his papers paving the room for him. Mufti was in-charge of Chief Minister’s grievance cell for more than a year.
The two ministers will be allocated portfolio’s after the oath ceremony. The entire secretariat is rife with rumours about a possible re-shuffle.(KNB)
