GOC 15 Corps Affirms Joint Efforts to Combat Drug Menace at Border Areas, Emphasizes Collaboration with J&K Administration and Police

Baramulla 16 Jan(KNB): The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 15 Corps Rajiv Ghai expressed his delight, emphasizing the significance of naming the stadium after General Bipin Rawat.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, the GOC 15 Corps stated, “It’s a proud moment for us that the stadium has been named after General Bipin Rawat and has found a special place in the hearts of the people of J&K.” He went on to highlight the positive trajectory of Kashmir’s future, particularly for the youth.

Acknowledging the current situation in Kashmir, the GOC mentioned, “The situation in Kashmir is good, but there is still a distance to cover as we move forward.” He reassured that the army is committed to providing additional facilities to the stadium when needed, underscoring the continued support for sports development in the region.

Addressing the issue of drugs at border areas, the GOC assured the public, stating, “We are completely involved with the administration and police of J&K in trying to control that aspect of terrorism.”

He emphasized the collaborative efforts between the army, administration, and police to address and mitigate the challenges posed by illicit activities in border regions.(KNB)
