Srinagar 11 June (KNB): During peak hours from Monday, Traffic Police Department has decided to have one way traffic on Rambagh-Natipora, Chanpora and Nowgam road.
Srinagar City Police Traffic SSP Javaid Ahmed Koul has said that Rambagh-Natipora, Chanpora and Nowgam road stretch causes a lot of congestion due to its narrow width and it has been found necessary to follow one way Traffic in this stretch during peak hours, as per a statement.
“General Public is informed that no vehicle shall be allowed to ply towards Chanapora and Nowgam via Natipora from Rambagh between 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Only vehicles from Chanapora, Nowgam and Natipora shall move towards the City Centre,” it added.
It further said that no vehicle coming from Chanapora and Nowgam areas via Natipora shall be allowed to move towards City Center between 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm. Only vehicles coming from City Center shall be allowed to move towards Chanapora and Nowgam via Natipora from Rambagh.
“Traffic Police has requested motorists to cooperate and help in Traffic Management. “The traffic plan shall take effect from Monday i,e 14th of June 2021.,” it added. (KNB)
