Four photo journalists were injured while covering clashes in Shopian

Srinagar, Jan 22(KNB):Covering the clashes between the security forces, photojournalists were injured near the encounter site at Shirmaal village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

As per the reports, four photojournalists received pellet injuries on face and other parts of body when they were covering clashes between civilians and forces.




The injured photojournalists were identified as Nisar-ul-Haq, who works for Srinagar-based daily Rising Kashmir and Waseem Andrabi of Hundustan Times while the identity of two others were not ascertained.

The injured were taken to a nearby hostpital for  treatment.

Earlier, clashes erupted between civilians and forces in the village following a gunfight in which three militants have ben reportedly killed.(KNB)
