Srinagar, March 22(KNB): Four militants and a minor boy were killed in two encounters at Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and Shopian district of south Kashmir, on Friday.
The encounter which was going on in Mir mohalla locality since yesterday afternoon in Hajin Bandipora ended this morning with the killing of two militants and a twelve year old boy.
Meanwhile, two more militants were killed in another encounter that broke out between militants and the government forces today morning in Shopian.
Pertinently, clashes broke out near the site of a gunfight between the militants and the government forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir and in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Youth took to streets in both districts and hurled stones at government forces while the forces resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters.
Authorities have suspended the mobile internet service in both districts. (KNB)
