Srinagar 23 April (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir’s Ex Chief Minister and Party President Mehbooba Mufti’s brother Tasaduk Hussain Mufti was missing to cast his vote in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections held in Anantnag constituency.

Tassaduq Hussain Mufti was inducted in cabinet and was given the tourism portfolio, when Mehbooba Mufti was as a chief minister of state.

The people have comprehension that action of Tasaduk Hussain Mufti is reason of the internal rift between him and the party. Earlier Molvi Imran Raza Ansari said that the rift between him and the Party began when the erstwhile Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti assigned all her decision-making powers to the non-political actors and when she wanted her Bollywood cinematographer brother Tasaduq Mufti to be in the party.

When Kashmir News Bureau Contacted a PDP leader, on pretext of anonymity he said, “When party and especially his sister needed his vote he turned his back, the ex chief minister is losing his faith in the people and when his own brother has not bothered to cast vote in her favor what can she expect from others, it should be eye opener for her.”

Pertinently, the various candidates who are in the fray are Hasnain Masoodi of Jammu Kashmir National Conference, Sofi Yousuf of Bhartiya Janta Party, Ghulam Ahmad Mir of Indian National Congress, Mehbooba Mufti of Jammu Kashmir People’s Democratic Party, Nisar Ahmad Wani of Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, Ch. Zaffar Ali of Jammu Kashmir People’s Conference, Sanjay Kumar Dhar of Manav Adhikar Party, Surinder Singh of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) and Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather, Ridwana Sanam, Riyaz Ahmad Bhat, Zubair Masoodi, Shams Khwaja, Ali Mohammad Wani, Gh Mohammad Wani, Kyasir Ahmed Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad Khan and Mirza Sajad Hussain Beigh, all independents.
