Srinagar,November 19(KNB):Former Jammu and Kashmir chief secretary Muhammmad Iqbal Khanday passed away on Monday morning at SKIMS Soura.
According to the reports, the former administrator was suffering from cancer.
Khanday, 1978-batch IAS officer, held several important positions in his career.He had also worked as principal secretary for the former chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.
While talking to the family members they said that “the funeral prayers for the deceased are going to be held at 4 PM at his native Friends Colony Humhama. “However, exact time will be announced after Zuhr prayers at 2pm in the local masjid,” he added.(KNB)
