Kupwara 06 April (KNB) : Army on Sunday Killed five militants while three of its soldiers were also killed in a gunfight in Keran sector on the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
According to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB), “The gunbattle broke out.on April 3 when a group of militants infiltrated from across the Line of Control in Keran sector of Kupwara.’’
Defence spokesperson Rajish Kalie on sunday said that, “ In the ongoing anti-infiltration operation in the Keran sector, alert troops braving inclement weather and hostile terrain have so far eliminated five militants attempting to infiltrate across the LoC.”
They have been identified as Subedar Sanjiv Kumar,Para trooper Bal Kishan,Para, Trooper Chhatrapl, Halvinder Devendra and para trooper Amit. (KNB)
