Srinagar, Jan 13(KNB): In a major action against alleged terror links, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday terminated the services of five government employees for their purported involvement in activities linked to terrorism, officials said.
The dismissed employees include Mohd Ishfaq, a teacher; Tariq Ahmad Shah, a laboratory technician; Bashir Ahmad Mir, an assistant lineman; Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a field worker in the Forest Department; and Mohd Yousuf, a driver in the Health Department.
According to official sources, the action was taken after security agencies established their alleged connections with terror outfits, posing a threat to national security. The terminations were carried out under relevant service rules following inputs from intelligence and security agencies.
