Tral, Jan 03(KNB):An encounter broke out between the militants and the government forces in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
As per reports, the gunfight broke out after the forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Gulshanpora area of Tral.
As the forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire, triggering a gunfight.
Exchange of fire between militants and security forces is going on,as per last reports.
Meanwhile, Intense clashes erupted in several area of Tral including the main town soon after a gunfight broke out between the militants and the forces, in which at least six civilians were injured.
A complete shutdown is being observed in the area.
More over, Internet service was suspended in the area soon after the gunfight broke out in Gulshanpora.(KNB)
