Shopian 02 October (KNB): An encounter raged between security forces and militants in Baskushan Imnamsahib area of Shopian district, Police official said.
According to police official, on a specific information about the presence of militants, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Baskushan Imamsahib area of Shopian district.
As the forces approached towards the suspected area, hiding militants fired upon the searching party which was retaliated and triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, firing is going on when the last reports came in.(KNB)
