Kulgam, Feb 10(KNB):Two more militants killed in an encounter that broke out today morning in Keelam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Earlier, three militants including a top commander were killed, encounter ended with the killing of five militants.
Soon after the gunfight, massive protests started near the gunfight sight.Youths hurled stones and snowballs towards forces, the forces fired pellets and tear gas at the protesters in which dozens were wounded.
As per reports, twelve persons were injured in the clashes with ten of them hit by pellets.
Internet was suspended in the district soon after the gunfight broke out today morning.
Identification of slain militants is yet to be ascertained.(KNB)
