President Accepts Resignation of West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose; Several New Governors and Lieutenant Governors Appointed

New Delhi 05 March(KNB): Lt. General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain has been appointed as the new Governor of Bihar. On the occasion, Malik Sajid, Editor-in-Chief, congratulated him on his appointment and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure in the new role.

Meanwhile, the President of India Droupadi Murmu has accepted the resignation of C. V. Ananda Bose as Governor of West Bengal.

In a series of fresh gubernatorial appointments and transfers, the President has also approved several key changes across different states and Union Territories.

Shiv Pratap Shukla, currently Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the new Governor of Telangana. The present Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Varma, will now serve as Governor of Maharashtra.

Further, Nand Kishore Yadav has been appointed as the Governor of Nagaland.

Additionally, R. N. Ravi, who is currently serving as Governor of Tamil Nadu, has been appointed as the Governor of West Bengal. In the meantime, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala, will discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu.

In another change, Kavinder Gupta, presently the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

Vinai Kumar Saxena, currently Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, while Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

The appointments will come into effect from the dates the respective appointees assume charge of their offices, according to the official communiqué issued by the President’s office.(KNB)
